Special Notices

COVID-19 Notice

Due to the effects of COVID-19, shipping availability and speed may be impacted depending on the destination country. Please consult the parcel carriers serving your region for information on how COVID-19 may be impacting parcel delivery to your location from our fulfillment centers.

Some of our items are shipped from China where strict COVID regulations may be placed periodically. Should such situations unfold, we will be making the appropriate announcements to keep our customers informed. Please follow our Twitter for the latest updates in this regard.


Russo-Ukrainian War Notice

We regret to inform our customers that at this moment, we are unable to make shipments out to Belarus, Russia, or Ukraine due to our couriers having suspended their services to these destinations. We recommend following our Twitter account for the latest information on the logistics regarding the ongoing situation.


Fulfillment Centers

Pawprint Press offers shipping to the majority of countries worldwide, and most orders will be fulfilled from our logistics center in California. Items needing to be sent from a separate location will have details specified in the item listing description as seen here:

Tax

Customers in the EU and in certain states of the United States will have a Value-Added Tax or Sales Tax applied at checkout with individual rates depending on the destination.

With the new Value-Added Tax (VAT) rules administered in the EU on July 1, 2021, all foreign online merchants were henceforth required to collect VAT upfront. These new rules essentially treat cross-border commerce as domestic commerce within EU taxation practices. Pawprint Press complies with the new rules and therefore needs to collect VAT at checkout. We appreciate your understanding on the legalities of this policy in order for us to serve our customers in the EU.

Please note: According to the new rules mentioned above, customers will not be subject to any VAT upon delivery if they have paid upfront. Customers with an order subtotal (excluding shipping charges) less than €150 are also not subject to any customs duties. Please contact us with proof of charge if you’re charged a VAT or customs duty by the courier upon delivery.

In the United States, physical presence rules and economic nexus rules apply when deciding whether an online merchant is required to collect Sales Tax from a customer in a certain state. Pawprint Press has its main office in California and also meets the criteria of physical presence or economic nexus in some other states. As a result, customers in these states will have to pay Sales Tax upfront at checkout. The tax rate will be automatically calculated based on the shipping address of the order.


Customs Notice

All orders placed with Pawprint Press must include a valid phone number for the recipient in order to be processed. A valid phone number is necessary should any issues arise during shipping or customs inspection. Failure to include a valid phone number when the order is placed may result in your order being returned, delayed, or lost. 

If you need to make changes to your primary phone number before your order is shipped, please adjust your contact information using the “View your order” link in your order confirmation email. 

Orders bound for destinations outside of the United States may be subject to import regulations of the destination country. We recommend consulting your national import regulatory agency for information regarding import rules and restrictions. In rare cases, orders may require the recipient's intervention for the shipment to progress through customs inspection.


Address Format

We request for customers to use only Latin characters in the shipping address, including the recipient name, and to keep each address line under 50 characters. Some of our couriers may not be able to process the addresses containing special characters, and this in turn may cause delays in processing your order.

Please contact us if you have any shipping concerns using a Latinized address.

In rare cases, the courier may require the address in the destination language to complete the shipment. If such circumstances arise, we will reach out via the email address provided on the order.

 

Special Cases

The following is a list of countries, each with preferred specifications for the shipping address that will ease the fulfillment and shipping process. If your destination country is on this list, we ask that you please follow the instructions for your shipping address.

Austria or Germany

Please use “ss” instead of “ß” in your address. I.e. “Straße” to “Strasse”

China, Japan, or Korea Please avoid using any fullwidth mark. This is especially the case for the fullwidth “” (U+FF03) since the character closely resembles its half-width counterpart “#” (U+0023) in many fonts.
Mexico

Please utilize two address lines if the street address exceeds 50 characters.

Portugal or Spain

Please avoid using the ordinal indicator “º” in your address. The floor and room number such as 2ºC can be written as “Floor 2-C” or “Floor 2 Room C.”

South Korea

Please use the new five-digit postal code in your address.


Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and will vary based on the destination country, parcel weight, and dimensional weight. Parcel weight includes the combined weight of the items included in the parcel, as well as any required packing materials. Dimensional weight is calculated based on the size of the packaging necessary for your order. 

Orders containing multiple items, especially international orders, may have considerably high shipping costs due to the dimensional weight. We recommend customers try splitting purchases into separate orders as this may help lower the total cost.

Pawprint Press will choose the most appropriate packing materials for your order to ensure items will arrive at their destination safely. 


Processing and Shipping Times

The estimated shipping times will be displayed at checkout, and shipping times will vary by destination. Please bear in mind that items shipped from outside our main fulfillment center in California may take longer to process and deliver.

Pawprint Press will provide a tracking number when your order is shipped, along with information on how to track your order with the relevant shipping carriers.


Who is Delivering My Package?

We typically utilize our own tracking interface for a consistent visual. This interface is what customers can expect when clicking the tracking link in the shipping notification email. By clicking the Tracking # hyperlink under the Shipping Carrier Information section, you will be guided to the website of the courier that is in charge of transportation.

Customers residing in states located on the west side of the Rockies may have their orders carried by OnTrac. OnTrac is a small company whose IT infrastructure is less robust so the Tracking # hyperlink of an order carried by OnTrac will guide the customer to a third-party tracking site where OnTrac is displayed as the courier. OnTrac also provides an in-house tracking service on its website.

Please note that orders not shipped from our California main fulfillment center may not utilize this interface. Please see below for tips regarding some common scenarios when your order is not shipped from California:

The courier may occasionally hand over the terminal section of the delivery to another courier. In practice, the most common scenario is that the main courier is a commercial company and the terminal courier is the local postal service. See “How to Find The Terminal Courier of Your Order” if you need urgent communication with the terminal courier who’s responsible for delivering the order to your door.


Reshipment

Logistic errors happen often, and we’re glad to offer reshipments if for some reason the courier fails to deliver. Please contact us to have an order reshipped under the following circumstances:

  • For domestic orders within the contiguous U.S. (shipped from one of our locations in the U.S. to a U.S. address, not including AK, HI, PR, and minor outlying islands). Please contact us if the tracking record stops updating for 7 days without delivery.
  • For all other orders, please contact us if the tracking record stops updating for 21 days without delivery.
  • If, by tracking record, your order was delivered to a location that is clearly different from the shipping address you have on your order.

We also recommend contacting the terminal courier transporting the order before reaching out to us as they may have more information regarding the delivery. Please read the “Who is delivering my package?” section for more details on finding the courier handling your package.

Please note that we can only offer a reshipment if the stock allows. We will offer a refund—including associated shipping charges—for items out of stock.
